Semana Santa, Sevilla, 2011

April is a busy time at Shadows and Light as workshops begin in earnest with the very first of our Semana Santa reportage trips in Spain, at the heart of the passion in Sevilla. I’m just hoping that it doesn’t rain like it did in 2011! Next year we hope to run tours to the Alpujarras, the Sierra de Grazalema and possibly Granada, all around the Easter break and central to the vibrancy that is Andalucia.

The popular ‘Introduction to Digital Landscape’ series gets underway again with ‘Filtration & Beyond‘ 0n 13 April & 20 Oct followed by ‘Master Monochrome‘ on 14 April & 9 November. Matt and I are only planing to offer the ‘Introductory level‘ workshop once this year, on 19 October. All of these are based in the New Forest and we can recommend overnight accommodation if needed.

June 30 sees the arrival of the successful ‘DSLR – Out of the Dark‘ half day workshops moving to Milford in Sea in Hampshire for the first time. This workshop aims to help those new to DSLR photography learn more about their cameras and get a glimpse of just what a creative tool they have in their hands. Always an exciting, stimulating and lively session. Come along and try it out!

Later in the season there will be landscape trips to Lindisfarne, 5 days from 17 Sep, the ever popular Alto Aragon workshop in the Spanish Pyrenees, 6 days from 20 Oct and by popular demand ‘An Introduction to Large Format Landscape‘ in South Wales for 2 days from 2 Nov.

Also coming up during the year:

Large Format Refresher Days in London, Essex and Kent, Mixed Lighting practical workshops, one day landscape and documentary photography workshops in London, Wiltshire, and more. Follow this link for the full 2012 programme…

From 1 Aug to 2 Sep there will be a photography exhibition of images created by Shadows and Light clients at The Phoenix Cinema, London, N2 – details to follow in due course.
